The increase in demand for numbers has led to the UK telecoms regulator OFTEL introducing changes to the UK Numbering System.
The changes are taking place on the 22nd April 2000 under the banner "The Big Number". The new national numbers can be used right away but, from the 22nd April 2000, they must be used in order to get through.
The BT helpline is freephone - 0800 731 0202 and their website is www.numberchange.bt.com.
Webmaster - I will change the phone numbers on this website as I get around to updating pages - the above will guide you for the ones I miss.
