6:

The European Commission

Planning permission for this scheme was granted without the environmental assessment required under European law.

The Crystal Palace Campaign has complained to the European Commission.

The U.K. Government replied informally to the complaint, giving an explanation for the failure to conduct environmental assessment.

The full Commission found the explanation unsatisfactory, and has now served a letter of formal notice on the U.K. Government.

This could now lead to infringement proceedings in the European Court of Justice.

According to the property and financial press, this could sound a death knell for the scheme(see "Brussels to intervene in London development").
